About Margaret Rossouw

Margaret has been doing translation, editing and proofreading work since 2000. She obtained the degree MPhil in Translation and Editing cum laude at the University of Stellenbosch in 2006. Literary translation was one of her main subjects and formed the basis of her master’s degree thesis.

She obtained the degree HonsBEd (with main subjects Natural Sciences and Music) and the Postgraduate Certificate in Education in 2004 and 2002 respectively. During this time she took Mathematics as an extra subject at the University of Stellenbosch.

She was involved at a Mathematics centre in Malmesbury on a part-time basis from 2008 to 2014 and has been giving extra Mathematics classes in Malmesbury and Stellenbosch since 2015. In addition, she is the presenter of Maths 4 Africa’s quarterly Early Bird courses for Grade 10 learners.

She is co-author of the Grade 9 Mathematics books (English and Afrikaans) in the Pythagoras series. These books, which contain summaries, examples and questions with complete solutions, were published by Fisichem Publishers (Stellenbosch) in March 2015.

Margaret is also a qualified physiotherapist and has worked in hospitals and private practices locally and in England.
